Suzo Americas Exceeds FutureLogic’s Market Penetration Goals for South America

FutureLogic, Inc., the leading manufacturer of thermal ticket printers for cashless gaming, announced today that during the last 18 months Suzo Americas (AR) SRL has surpassed expectations for South American market penetration, and has helped establish the largest installed base of thermal gaming printers in the region. Under an agreement initiated in early 2005, Suzo Americas sells and provides service for FutureLogics TITO (ticket-in/ticket-out) printers throughout Latin America.

Suzo Americas reports installations of more than 6000 FutureLogic GEN1 and GEN2™ printers in all of South Americas major gaming markets - including Buenos Aires and Mendoza, Argentina, Vina del Mar, Chile and Quito, Ecuador. With dozens of new casinos slated for TITO launches in 2006, Suzo Americas expects FutureLogic will continue to grow its share of market. FutureLogics worldwide reputation for reliability and innovative technology provided an excellent foundation for the South American introduction, said Jens Peiler, General Manager of Suzo Americas. The versatile GEN2 printer has also enhanced our ability to provide a complete set of cashless solutions to our OEM and casino customers in this burgeoning region.

America lags on the superhighway

America lags on the superhighway When countries are ranked by their ability to exploit new technologies, the US is almost always at the top of the list. In most cases the impetus has come from entrepreneurial newcomers, such as Intel in semiconductors or Amgen in biotechnology, not from established companies. This distinctively American phenomenon is usually attributed to a combination of two factors: a large and competitive domestic market and a set of institutions, including the financial system, that supports new ventures. Yet there is one recently developed technology in which the US has been a notable laggard. Broadband, which provides high-speed
