Bank of America Championship will not be played

This years Bank of America Championship will not be played at Nashawtuc Country Club this weekend due to excessive rain and flooding. Both the Sudbury and Concord rivers, located on either side of the golf course, crested overnight, rendering the layout unplayable for the next several days.

Tournament officials will now meet to determine if and when this years event will be rescheduled.

Regretably, the decision has been made to postpone the Bank of America Championship this weekend, but under the circumstances there really was no other option, said Champions Tour president Rick George. The greater Boston area has been pounded with rain the entire week and our rules personnel and Nashawtuc superintendent Paul Miller concluded there is no way to play golf.
