Willis Group Names North America CEO

Global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings Ltd. said Thursday that Don Bailey is the new chief executive of Willis North America.

Bailey, 41, is currently chief operating officer of Willis North America. He succeeds Mario P. Vitale, 50, who moves to Zurich Financial Services as chief executive of global corporate North American operations.

Bailey joined Willis in 2003 as head of North American Risks Practice. He has been COO of Willis North America since March.

ABC names Good Morning America exec Veteran CBS producer Jim Murphy has been appointed by ABC News as senior executive producer of Good Morning America, bringing a fresh viewpoint to the eternal battle with NBCs Today show. Murphy was most recently executive producer of the CBS Evening News before leaving late last year. Banc of America ends Biovail coverage, suit looms Banc of America Securities ended its coverage of Canadian drug company Biovail Corp. (BVF.TO: Quote, Profile, Research) (BVF.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday after the securities firm was named, with several other parties, in a class-action lawsuit brought by a group of Biovail shareholders.
